Carew Castle from the North
Carew Castle
Sir John Perrot built the northern part of the Castle during the reign of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The castle by this time was more of a country house than a defensive structure and Perrot was able to build large windows, which would have been impractical in an earlier age.
